Is there a way to download apps onto my google nexus one phone using my computer?

Trouble with my wifi connection has forced me to consider ways of downloading and installing apps onto my g1 (nexus) phone using my computer. Is there a way to do this? Anybody know?|||sorry cant be any help to you but how are u liking the nexus one
