Do you have to sign into Google talk on Android to download apps from market?

Because many people say you have to be online on Google talk on the android to download. I can't sign in, thats why. Anyone with android phone. PLEASE help me. If possible, can u try downloading a free app when u r not signed in on GTalk?|||so you get your game with google.com you must go to google and type your required keyword and you see a huge list in front so try|||No you don't need to. I'm an avid android user and don't even have gtalk installed on my phone and can download apps just fine.
