Is Google apps email POP or IMAP in Thunderbird?

Do not answer this unless you plan on giving me reliable information. I am just starting with Thunderbird and I am on the Account Wizard: Server Information. It asks me whether my incoming server is POP or IMAP and what my incoming and outgoing server is. My email address is through a Google Apps Domain I have. So, which one do I choose and what do I put for the incoming and outgoing servers?|||you decide, gmail can do both but imap is probably the better choice
