I wish to configure Google mail server and security setting in my workplace, ho to get that?|||Step 1
Go to the Google Apps homepage (google.com/a/) and sign up for one of the editions offered.
Step 2
Enter the domain name you wish to use with Google apps. If you do not have a domain name yet, you can purchase one directly from Google, which will be preconfigured to work with their services. If you purchase through Google, you don't need to do the following steps.
Step 3
Verify your domain name by either uploading a special file to your site, or by creating a new CNAME record for your domain.
Step 4
On the main dashboard, click "Create new users" to start creating new user accounts. The username you create for each new user is needed for them to log in to Google Apps, and will also be the basis of their new email. Google will automatically create a temporary password for each new account.
Step 5
Click "Email Instructions" to send instructions and information for each new user. Make sure to enter a valid email account to ensure that the new user receives the information.
Step 6
Change the Mail Exchange (MX) records on your domain registrar so that all of your email gets handled and accessed through Gmail. Google provides exact instructions for almost all domain hosting services.
Step 7
Customize the appearance of your Google apps by clicking the "Domain Settings" tab and navigating to "Appearance". You will be able to change the color scheme and upload your own logo.|||You will need to install it on your domain. It's actually very easy to install and manage. Management is done with a web interface on Google's side. You will have to set up the DNS and all that with your host provider (or on your server if you host your own DNS). They have pretty much all the info you need to set it up on their website. If you want the business account, then you will have to pay for it. I don't think is very expensive. The standard version is free, but it doesnt have all the bells and whistles that the business version has.
