Can I use Google apps as my mail server and host my webpages on another server?|||Absolutely you can - we do this all the time - it has one HUGE advantage over using your hosts for email and webhosting - if the site goes down, you still get email!
To do this, set your nameservers to those of your REGISTRAR (not host). Then change the A records for www.domain.com and domain.com to go to the IP of your hosts' servers.
Now point the MX records to Google Apps (as per their instructions) and hey presto - an enterprise-level email and document managing solution!
I recommend setting up new CNAMEs as well for email.domain.com and docs.domain.com for example so that you can get to your Google Apps really easily when on the move!
If that sounds like crazy techno-babble, and you'd like a helping hand, we're at the end of a telephone line or email!
